Track market sentiment extremes to identify overheating risks during FOMO phases and exceptional entry opportunities when panic drives excessive corrections in high-quality stocks.
The Fear and Greed Index measures investor sentiment in the market, ranging from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed). This indicator helps identify whether the market is being driven by emotional extremes that could signal potential turning points.
Understanding the Index
The Fear and Greed Index is calculated based on multiple market factors including stock price momentum, market volatility, safe haven demand, put and call options, junk bond demand, and market breadth. Higher values indicate excessive optimism (greed), while lower values suggest excessive pessimism (fear).
Index Ranges 0-25 (Extreme Fear): Investors are extremely worried. Prices may have already fallen significantly, potentially creating buying opportunities as fear often marks market bottoms. 25-45 (Fear): Market sentiment is cautious and negative, which historically has often preceded recoveries. 45-55 (Neutral): Balanced sentiment without strong directional bias. 55-75 (Greed): Market sentiment is optimistic and positive. Extended periods of greed may indicate overvaluation. 75-100 (Extreme Greed): Investors are overly confident. Prolonged extreme greed often occurs near market peaks and may signal increased downside risk.
Interpretation
The index is a contrarian indicator. Extended periods of greed suggest markets may be overheated and vulnerable to corrections, while extended fear often indicates markets are oversold and may present entry opportunities. However, sentiment alone does not guarantee future price movements.

Loading Bond Charts ...
The government bonds chart displays the historical yield performance of government bonds from major countries, showing returns over different time periods and maturities.
Display
The blue line shows the yield return of the selected government bond over time. Bond yields represent the annual return an investor receives for holding the bond and move inversely to bond prices. When yields rise, bond prices fall, and vice versa.
Understanding Bond Yields
Government bonds are considered safe investments as they are backed by national governments. Yields reflect market expectations for interest rates, inflation, and economic growth. Higher yields typically indicate concerns about inflation or economic uncertainty, while lower yields suggest expectations of slower growth or falling interest rates. The yield curve, comparing short term and long term maturities, provides insights into future economic conditions.
Available Options
Select from government bonds of major countries including the U.S., Germany, Japan, UK, and others. Choose between different maturities such as 2 year, 10 year, and 30 year bonds using the dropdown menus. Longer maturity bonds are generally more sensitive to changes in interest rate expectations.
